Jesus, Who for love of me
Didst bear the cross to Calvary
In Thy mercy grant to me
To suffer and to die with Thee.

I really feel like a lot of people don’t understand custody courts or what is exactly going on here.
Even if the dad sues for custody, the mom still has a better chance of getting custody for the child simply because it came out of her vagina. For example; a girl I know in school had to live with her drug-addicted, bringing home random men mother for ten years even though she wanted to live with her father. In the end she and her father had to go to court together for him to get custody of her. Sure, sometimes if the mother shouldn’t take care of the child because of an addiction or whatever, she usually won’t. But if the mother wants the child, she can usually get at least a majority of the custody.
Even if the father wants nothing to do for the baby - hell, if he can’t afford to do anything for it, he will most likely have to pay child support. There’s really no way around it unless the mother doesn’t sue for it. Hell, he might never be able to see the child alone and have to pay for it.
If the mother doesn’t want the baby she can get an abortion, regardless of what the father wants. If the father wants to have the baby and will raise it on his own, doesn’t matter because it’s “not his uterus.”
The dad is in no control until the child is born. If he didn’t want the baby, chances are he will still have to provide for it in some way. The idea that “well he should have warn a condom” is stupid. He could have; condoms can break, be defected, just be old, whatever and him not know it. The woman could have been on birth control and forgot to take a pill one day. They both could have been drunk and not thinking about protection. Whatever.
The point is, the mother will always have more choice than the father when it comes to the child, even if that’s not in the best interest of the child.
